Episode 64: Frog Chorus at Heart Place

Recorded on February 26, 2025, at the dogtrot, this is the sound of an early spring evening chorus on Heart Pond. It begins with the gentle honks of Canada Geese as they prepare to depart for their roosting sites, gradually giving way to a pond alive with the rhythmic calls of Spring Peepers. Their chorus is punctuated by the occasional trill of Upland Chorus Frogs and the deep, guttural croaks of Southern Leopard Frogs, creating a rich, layered soundscape of the changing season.
